Blue Sunday

Sunday was paradise  
lost in an instant,  like the way sometimes god swallows us whole  and spits us back on the side of the road.   
But tonight I tried to crawl inside  the undulations of despair  
that scattered tears around the world,  and found only   
an ocean  washing over children asleep  in the sand and dreaming  
of blue forever.

The small apartment is scattered with boxes: some taped shut and some hanging open and empty or partially filled with various possessions.  The space is near-silent and, in spite of the mess, feels almost empty.  SARAH is moving about, collecting her things and packing them haphazardly into the boxes.      After a time, the apartment door opens, and ADRIAN walks in.  Both girls see each other and stop in their tracks, as if neither had expected the other to be there, then Adrian shu Losing You

Piles of old, dusty boxes sit, neglected, inside the attic.  Various useless items spill out of the boxes and onto the floor.  The camera focuses on a large, ugly ceramic pig.

Well, as much as I hate to say it, I think it's time I admitted that I probably won't be active on DA anymore. I'm sure you all (those of you who still remember me, that is) noticed my little dissapearing act over the past few months. It's not because I don't write anymore... (I do)... and it isn't because I stopped liking DA. Mostly it's just because I don't have the time for it. That, and I'm in the process of creating a real online gallery for myself (and my boyfriend), and I don't see much point in maintaining two of them. I will miss being able to talk with you guys, and I'll definately try to get on now and then to check out some of your art and writing, because that's most of the reason I was here to begin with, but from now on I'll be focusing my energy on my new gallery and on a few particular projects that I have under my belt.

(nothing at all is posted at the moment, but I hope to be getting something up there in a few weeks)

As for other news, one of my big projects is a dramatic comic I'm working on. Well, really it was a tv show, but since I have no hopes of it ever being picked up (at least, not until I get famous ;) ), I've decided to re-adapt it into an online comic. Of course we all know that I can't draw, so I'm in the process of looking for an artist to partner up with me on the project. If anyone knows someone who might be interested, you're welcome to contact me. :)

I tend to revisit people with a healthy attitude to constructive critiques and you seemed very appreciative and nice, so I'll see if I can come up with more feedback for your works.

Yeah, it's great having artist friends. ;) The funny part about the print Liz made is that I guess a number of people saw it, since it was turned in for a class.... so now every now and then I get an art student who looks at me and says "I've seen you somewhere..."
